End of Summer Pool Party

We all love summer but sometimes its nice to get back into a school schedule. What better way to celebrate the end of summer than with a pool party that will create memories to last long enough until next summer??!

Balloon and backdrops are quickly becoming a party necessity for us! If you caught our segment you saw how fun it turned out. Party With Me Rentals and Blown Away Balloons both did an incredible job and we love working with such amazing friends.

Hosting doesn’t need to feel overwhelming or stressful. Make it as simple as you need with adding a lovely detail to any part of your event. For this party we wanted to involve our kids and make one more fun lasting summer memory. Serving food is sometimes harder than decorating. If you can simply the theme of your party then it’s much easier to address what you need. We knew this would be a kid party so treats was at the top of the list. Making our own Animal Cracker popcorn brought the perfect amount of sweet and detail to this party.

All you need is:

-popcorn

-white melted chocolate

-sprinkles

-Animal Crackers

  • Mix away and boom, a fun easy treat that’s unique and colorful!

Snow Cones to any summer party is the perfect match! We are so glad Orson Gygi offers rentals but hopefully we’ll add a machine to our inventory! It’s for the kids, right? :)

Cotton Candy is Brookes favorite treat so her machine made an appearance and is a run idea for any party.

Steps to a simple and easy party:

  1. What are you serving?

    1. Pick a few items you want to serve that coordinate with each other and make sure to focus your time on one really fun thing but add complimenting foods that are easy and simple to add to it. We spent our time on the cinnamon rolls but added in a really fun yogurt parfait bar that the guests could build their own individual bowls. Some items for the parfait bar included two types of yogurt, granola, a variety of berries, and of course chocolate chips. We also love these individual Martinelli’s drinks that elevate any table.

    2. Tablescape! Layers are your best friend here. Chargers add the lovely dimension and bring your party up a notch all while making it feel a bit more fancy and enjoyable. World Market has a great selection of affordable napkins that add a beautiful softness to the table. Our checked table runner is from Brooke’s mom but similar options on Amazon we have linked below.

    3. Party favors are not always necessary but are always fun. It’s a way to send a gift home with your guests that they might enjoy and use down the road. The Orson Gygi mini flamingos were the obvious choice here and a cute little keepsake.

    4. Flowers are never a bad idea at ANY party and really soften the table and bring a calming atmosphere to the party( even if its a loud party with kiddos!) Plus, you have a centerpiece that lasts all week you can enjoy in your home.

Have we mentioned how much we love Parsons Bakery?! All our food featured on our Studio 5 segment is from there and we couldn’t love them more. Cookies, cupcakes and donuts are easy things you can find anywhere but with Parsons we just told them our theme and off they went! The pinks and whites matched our table and we’d be lying if we said we didn’t eat more treats than the kids. How can you not when they are this good?!

Our Studio 5 Pool Party segment was so much fun! We love getting the chance to bring our fun ideas to the big screen and appreciate all they do for us! Our backdrop really brought the party to a new level and we are so happy with how it all turned out.

Popsicles in a cup with a Fresca….have you partaken of this goodness? We love adding a fun drink and this is just as equally kid friendly as it is adult friendly.
