Are you feeling inspired to clear out the clutter and start fresh for 2021? Are any of your goals to be more organized? I love feeling organized where everything has a home and a place. It seems to help with stress and the never ending, “Mom, where does this go?” as I am teaching my young kiddos how to clean up after themselves and put their items away. Their future spouses will thank me, right?!

We all have that one drawer, closet, cabinet or even tucked away corner that needs a little sprucing up. One day I might just show you my “junk” drawer but for now I am so excited to talk about pantry and cabinet organization. Let’s get those holiday foods and treats where they belong… in a cute container or basket. I know what you are thinking. Making your grocery store food and kitchen essentials or crafts look pretty? How can I make my craft cabinet look cute while being organized and functional? Well, finding some simple baskets, jars, or small containers and labeling your items will do the trick. It does not need to be super fancy or even expensive rather just having a place for everything. A home for those yummy treats you’re hiding from your kids. I took this cabinet from a boring, un-tidy cabinet to this beauty…

Transforming a cabinet is easy with a few simple tricks:

  1. Don’t be afraid of the mess!

I sometimes seem paralyzed at the thought of pulling everything out of a cabinet onto the counter, but it is essential to getting started. Just keep a vision of the beautiful end result while you dig through junk!

  2. Use an adhesive wallpaper:

I found this cute, inexpensive wallpaper off of Amazon and I love how it makes the cabinet feels happy. Wallpaper was easily installed in under ten minutes.

  3. Cute baskets and jars are everything:

Use matching baskets and matching glass jars to make the cabinet feel pulled together. These jars and these baskets are some of our favorites.

  4. Identify your pretty cabinets:

I understand that not all cabinets are going to be beautiful and that is ok! However, we all need a few cabinets that we open and make us feel happy. So decorate the inside of those cabinets and put your favorite sentimental dishes in a spot you can often see them so you actually remember to use them, instead of being tucked in the back of your pantry never seen.

  5. Contain with Trays

A great way to contain smaller items is using a tray. Items still feel well organized when they are on a tray instead of roaming the cupboard.

Here are a few more organized spaces to get you inspired:
