Graduation Party Ideas

Do you know a 2021 graduate?! Let's make them feel special and celebrate. We think a jar bar is the perfect Covid friendly dessert idea. Are you hosting a graduation party or maybe you just need some fun catering ideas or gift options? We know 2021 is still a bit unusual for how graduations are taking place but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate. Lets show that graduate just how proud of them you are!

Jar Bar Party Ideas

Take your favorite dessert or simply just add a twist to it and you’ve got a really fun Jar Bar. This dessert station will be the talk of the town. You probably have some old mason jars sitting to the side so grab those or call your grandma or friend and borrow theirs (thanks Chelsea for letting me borrow your jars!) We came up with 4 really yummy ideas for your next Jar Bar party!

Tuxedo Graduate.JPG

The Tuxedo Graduate

Ingredients:

  1. Cookies and Cream pudding

  2. Vanilla pudding

  3. Mini Buntini from Nothing Bundt Cakes

  4. Oreos

  5. Ghirardelli chocolate square

Start by breaking up Oreos into the bottom of the jar. We used two oreos for the bottom layer. Then top Oreos with “Cookies and Cream” pudding. Depending on the size of your jar, for the next layer you can either do more Oreo’s or go straight to the Vanilla pudding. After topping with Vanilla pudding, add more Oreos then top with a Chocolate Buntini. We then used a Ghiradelli chocolate square for the hat topper. We also added a little ribbon detail for the tassel.

Berry Cheesecake Pie

Ingredients:

  1. Berries

  2. No Bake Chesecake mix

  3. Graham Cracker crust

  4. Walmart mini pies

For the Berry Cheesecake Pie we started with a layer of graham cracker crust (Graham crackers, sugar, and melted butter). We chose to use a Jello No Bake Cheesecake mix which comes with the graham cracker crust and cheesecake filling. Next we did a layer of cheesecake filling, then a layer of berries. Lastly, do another layer of cheesecake filling. We used a piping bag to put the cheesecake layer in. We found the Cheesecake mix didn’t go very far, so when making these again we would probably just use the Jello Cheesecake pudding mix. We topped the cheesecake jar with a mini berry pie we found in the Walmart bakery section.

*Add these fun printables by the amazing Chandler over at Cardall and Co. to the tops of your pies for that extra fun detail to your party.

The Cookie Monster Jar

Ingredients:

  1. Vanilla pudding mix

  2. Trix cereal

  3. Vanilla cupcake

  4. Twisted Sugar Cookie Monster cookie

Possibly the easiest jar of all to make, the Cookie Monster Jar is sure to be a Senior favorite with their favorite food group, cereal! First start with a layer of Trix cereal, then top with a layer of Vanilla pudding. Next put in your cupcake upside down, and top it with a Twisted Sugar, “Cookie Monster Cookie.”

*Twisted Sugar always delivers with the most amazing cookies. Our good friends over at the Centerville, Utah location are so great to work with and our weekly trips there never disappoint. They are always so yummy but also just so beautiful to look at. We custom ordered these cookies in their Party Box. The small size is perfect for guests and just so happens to fit perfectly into the top of the mason jars. ;)

The Key Lime Pie Jar

Ingredients:

  1. Graham Cracker crust

  2. Key Lime Pie pudding mix

  3. Whipped cream

  4. Graham Cracker sticks.

  5. Twisted Sugar mini Coconut Lime cookies. OUR PERSONAL FAVORITE (Party Box size/custom ordered)

Start with a layer of Graham Cracker crust (Graham Crackers, sugar, and melted butter). Next, do a layer of Key Lime Pudding Mix, then a layer of whipping cream. We used another layer of stick graham crackers to give the jar more texture and height, and lastly top it with a Twisted Sugar Coconut Lime cookie!

It’s no secret our daily drinks and treats come from Thirst! We are big fans and so are our kids/family. Did you know your graduate likes Thirst, too? They do! Everyone does! If your busy and would rather grab a super easy treat or catering option for your party then look no further. Thirst offers amazing pretzel bites in a catering size (their pretzel tubs) and while your there get a few boxes of beignets and it’s almost guaranteed your guests will be asking for seconds. Pair this with some cookies and scotcharoos, add in some drinks and you’ve got yourself a really easy but really yummy catering option!

Maybe you just know a graduate and you’d like to send them a gift? Easy! Grab a Thirst tumbler with a gift card inside and add these fun pintables to it with the CUTEST 3D printed graduation hat for the straw topper! We are so impressed with the quality of these and not only do they get a fun gift card but they also get a great reusable mug as they move forward on their journey in life.
